INFORMATION CONCERNING THE PROTECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA

The protection of personal data is a matter of trust and the trust of Customers is very important for Polonord Adeste. For this reason, Polonord Adeste intends to respect the private and personal sphere of its Customers and to observe every applicable law provision relating to the processing of personal data. With this statement, Polonord Adeste intends to inform the Customer about the purposes and methods of processing of the personal data collected and to request his consent in order to use them for certain purposes.

By reading this information notice, the Customer will be informed of the purposes and methods of collection and processing of the personal data communicated in the context of browsing the website www.polonordadeste.it and when placing a purchase order, in whatever way (e.g. electronic, telephone) such communication takes place. The Customer may browse within the website www.polonordadeste.it without having to communicate personal data. During browsing on the aforementioned site, it will not be possible at any time to identify the Customer, who will remain anonymous, unless he decides to communicate his data and/or access his own account by typing User name and password.
The Customer can print and/or save this information notice using the normal functions of the browser ("File" > "Save as").

1. COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

1.1 Collection and processing of personal data

Below are listed the specific purposes and methods of the processing to which the Customers’ personal data are destined.

a. Purchase order: Polonord Adeste collects and processes the Customer’s personal data for the collection and execution of purchase orders, for any complaints after purchase and in order to provide the Customer with the available services. Such data are necessary for the management of purchase orders, also with commercial partners (for example providers of logistics services, couriers, banks, etc.). It is advisable to enter a correct delivery contact and telephone number in order to place a purchase order and allow Polonord Adeste to execute it promptly and correctly. A telephone number is likewise necessary in order to allow Polonord Adeste to contact the Customer for any questions or requests for clarification. The e-mail address is, finally, necessary for Polonord Adeste in order to be able to communicate to the Customer the confirmation of receipt of the purchase order and any other communications. The e-mail address is, finally, used at the time of identification of the Customer to allow him to access his own account.
b. Reserved area – Customer login: the Customer’s personal data and those concerning his purchase orders are saved in the Polonord Adeste system, but will not be freely accessible for security reasons. Polonord Adeste guarantees each customer access to a reserved area by means of a password-protected access. In this area, the Customer may view all data concerning the purchase orders carried out and those in the course of execution and may also manage his own personal data, any bank data and those relating to the subscription to the newsletter service. The Customer is required to handle the access data in a responsible way and in compliance with the applicable regulations and not to disclose them to third parties. Polonord Adeste will not be in any way responsible for incorrect or improper use of the password by the Customer.
c. Advertising: Polonord Adeste uses the Customer’s data for promotional purposes, to send information on the items offered within the website https://www.polonordadeste.it. The Customer’s e-mail address will be used exclusively within the limits prescribed by the applicable legislation or, where necessary, after the express consent of the Customer has been given. The Customer will regularly receive purchase recommendations by e-mail. It is possible to interrupt free of charge the sending of the aforementioned promotional messages by making a request by e-mail to authorization@polonordadeste.it or by clicking on the appropriate option at the bottom of each promotional e-mail.
d. Market research and opinion polls: the Customer’s personal data are also processed in order to carry out market research and opinion polls. The use of the same takes place in anonymous form and exclusively for the purpose of drawing up statistics for Polonord Adeste. At any time the Customer has the right to object to the processing. The answers provided by the Customer in the context of such market research and opinion polls are neither revealed to third parties nor made public. The answers to the questions in our surveys are not stored together with the e-mail address.
e. Newsletter: in the newsletters the Customer will find from time to time information on offers and corporate communications. Polonord Adeste processes the data collected in the context of the newsletter service in order to personalise and adapt the services to the Customer’s interests and preferences, as well as for promotional purposes and market studies. Polonord Adeste stores the data collected for long periods of time, it being understood that such data will in any case be used solely for the purposes referred to in this information notice.
f. Browsing of websites and newsletters: when the Customer visits the website www.polonordadeste.it, including by accessing it from a link in a newsletter, certain data are collected and saved. Other data may also be saved such as the access date, the http response code and the website from which the re-direction to the website www.polonordadeste.it took place as well as the quantity of data (bytes) that have been transmitted. The analysis of the data takes place only in a strictly anonymous form (for example: 45% of the readers of the newsletters read message xy). This process allows Polonord Adeste to adapt the information contained in the offers to the interests of those subscribed to the newsletter, which is sent according to the following method: the Customer will receive the newsletter only if he gives consent to the sending of the same and, in any case, will be free to interrupt free of charge the receipt of the newsletter by clicking on the option "Unsubscribe" present in each newsletter or by calling the number +39 051 700355 or, again, by making a request by e-mail to authorization@polonordadeste.it and specifying the email to be deleted.
g. Prize competitions: in the event of any prize competitions, Polonord Adeste will use the Customer’s personal data (and, in particular, his e-mail address or his telephone number) to communicate the results and for promotional purposes. The Customer may have more detailed information by reading the conditions of participation prepared from time to time for each individual competition.

1.2 Saving of personal data through cookies

It is not necessary to accept the use of cookies during browsing on the website www.polonordadeste.it. However, the Customer is informed that the use of the “cart” function and the sending of any orders are possible only with the activation of cookies. On the website www.polonordadeste.it cookies are used. Cookies are text files recorded on an IT support which make it possible to record certain parameters and data communicated to the Polonord Adeste IT system through the browser used by the Customer and allow an analysis of his habits in the use of a given website. This saving allows Polonord Adeste to adapt its own website to the needs of the customer and also facilitates its use (for example, by storing certain requests, it is not necessary to repeat their entry at each visit). Many of the cookies used are automatically deleted from the customer’s computer hard disk at the end of each browsing session (from which the name “session cookie”). There are, however, cookies that remain on the hard disk. Their permanence is quite long (a few years) for reasons of greater convenience. After a first visit to the site, the system will be able to recognise on each subsequent visit that the Customer has already been on that site and therefore the Customer’s requests and preferred data will be retrieved (long-term cookies). These cookies will allow the Customer not to have to re-enter his password and fill in forms at each new access. Browsers generally limit the use of cookies, even though these allow freer access to the offers on the website www.polonordadeste.it. Cookies can also be deactivated. The website www.polonordadeste.it uses the “Google Analytics” service, a service of the company Google Inc. (“Google”). Google makes use of cookies. The information obtained through cookies on the Customer’s habits in the use of websites (including the IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the United States, where it is stored. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the ‘Safe Harbor Principles’ and participates in the ‘Safe Harbor’ program of the US Department of Commerce. Google uses this information for the purpose of analysing the habits of use of the website by the Customer, providing Polonord Adeste with reports on visits to the website www.polonordadeste.it and for other communications relating to the use of the same website as well as, more generally, of the internet. Google transmits this information to third parties where this is required by law or where third parties process such data on behalf of and for Google. Google will in no case associate the customer’s IP address with other Google data. The Customer may refuse the installation of cookies by selecting the corresponding parameters in the specific options of the browser. It is specified, however, that in this way the Customer will not be able to fully use certain functions of the site. By using this site, the Customer agrees to the processing of the data collected by Google in the ways and for the purposes described above.

The Customer consents to the recording of the user name and password in cookies after closing the browsing session and to their activation at the time of the next visit. The Customer may revoke this authorisation at any time, with effect for the future, by selecting the specific parameters of the browser which allow the activation of cookies to be excluded, as follows:

1.3 Secure transfer of personal data

The Customer’s personal data are transferred in encrypted form. This applies both to the placing of purchase orders and to the Customer’s reserved access to his own account. For this purpose the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technique is used. Although it is not possible to guarantee absolute protection, Polonord Adeste has adopted security measures for its own systems against loss, destruction, access, modification or dissemination of the customer’s data by unauthorised third parties.

2. EXPRESS CONSENT OF THE DATA SUBJECT

By reading this information notice, the Customer gives his express consent to the processing and communication of his personal data for the purposes and with the methods described in the previous Section 1. This consent is recorded in the systems of Polonord Adeste and may be revoked by the Customer at any time, with immediate effect.

3. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

The Customer has the right to obtain an indication of the origin of the personal data, of the purposes and methods with which these are processed and of the logic applied in the event of processing carried out with the aid of electronic tools, as well as of the identification details of the controller and of the data processor of the personal data, of their representatives and of the persons or categories of persons to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of them.
The Customer has the right to obtain: (a) the updating, rectification or, when he has an interest, the integration of personal data; (b) the erasure or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those whose retention is not necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed; (c) the certification that the operations referred to in letters (a) and (b) have been brought to the attention, also as regards their content, of those to whom the data have been communicated or disseminated, except in the case in which this proves impossible or involves the use of means manifestly disproportionate to the right protected.
The Customer has the right to object, in whole or in part: (a) for legitimate reasons to the processing of personal data concerning him, even if pertinent to the purpose of collection; (b) to the processing of personal data concerning him for the purpose of sending advertising material or direct sales or for the carrying out of market research or commercial communication.
On the basis of the GDPR, every Customer whose data we store must have the possibility to know which data we have collected and to request their erasure.
